In electrical engineering, earth or earth is the reference point of an electrical circuit from which voltages are measured, a common return path of electrical current, or a direct physical connection to earth.
Electrical circuits can be connected to ground (ground) for a number of reasons. Exposed metal parts of electrical equipment are connected to ground, so internal insulation failures will trigger protective mechanisms such as fuses or circuit breakers to remove power from the device. This ensures that exposed parts can never have dangerous voltage with respect to ground, which could cause electric shock if touched by a grounded person. In electrical power distribution systems, a protective earth (PE) conductor is an essential part of the safety provided by the earthing system.
Grounding also limits the build-up of static electricity when handling flammable products or electrostatically sensitive devices. In some telegraph and power transmission circuits, the ground itself can be used as a single conductor of the circuit, saving the cost of installing a separate return conductor (see single-wire return).
Our service offer includes both grounding and issuing a Pram certificate.
